Open community gardens as local spaces for encounter, nutrition, learning

Our program “HEKS Neue Gärten Zürich” creates intercultural community gardens as collectively managed neighborhood spaces for food production, social exchange, and local participation for people from diverse backgrounds and life realities, particularly fostering connections between migrants and local residents. Through the Booster, we aim to explore how local neighbors can be more strongly encouraged to engage in and contribute to the community gardens.
