Our Ground, Our Future: Fair Subsurface Energy for Urban Communities

The subsurface belongs to everyone, yet we manage it as if it were private. As cities adopt  geothermal heating and seasonal storage, borehole heat exchangers increasingly interact  underground. Uncoordinated use can cool or overheat the soil, harming ecosystems. My tool  models all boreholes in an area together and hands the power of analysis to people and  communities. So far, this analysis has been done only by experts hired by the building owners.
